Frequently asked questions about our care

Do you have questions about how to use our products or about best practices for natural skincare? Find the answers here.

Can Karitale care be used on open wounds?

Our balms are formulated to soothe and promote healing of superficial wounds or chafing (withers, neck, harness). In case of deep or infected wounds, it is advisable to consult a veterinarian.

How to naturally relieve summer itching?

Regularly moisturizing your skin with a shea-rich balm, using natural repellents (like lavender essential oil), and maintaining good hygiene are key. Our treatments are designed to soothe irritation and prevent excessive scratching.

Are Karitale products suitable for all types of horses?

Yes, our treatments are 100% natural, with no harsh chemical additives or preservatives. They are therefore suitable for horses of all ages and disciplines, including sensitive or allergy-prone horses.

Do Karitale products make the coat or hair greasy?

No. Although our balms are rich in shea and vegetable oils, their texture has been designed to penetrate quickly without leaving a greasy film . They nourish without weighing down, for a supple, shiny and light coat.
